The Chappellet Family has some of the richest history in the Napa Valley. In 1967, they established their winery on the picturesque Pritchard Hill - only the second winery in Napa Valley after Prohibition! Donn and Molly Chappellet had the foresight to recognize the value of elevation, with their vineyards and estate at 1,200 feet above Napa Valley floor. The rocky and rugged terroir of these vineyards (the oldest mountain grown vines in Napa Valley) produce wines with great intensity and depth, qualities that define the World's finest wines.
Crafted around a core of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the 2007 Mountain Cuvee isn't shy with aromatics of plum, fig, and cherry-cola. A full, round, and juicy mouth-feel give this wine a seamless quality. With tannins tucked into the body of the wine, a strawberry essence lingers on the finish, leaving the palate refreshed and not weighted down. Simply too good not to enjoy.
